Leisa Meyer

Leisa Meyer joined the Feminist Studies editorial collective in Spring 2004. An Associate Professor of History and American Studies and Chair of the Lyon G. Tyler Department of History at the College of William & Mary, her research and teaching interests include gender and sexuality studies, US women’s history, American popular culture, and cultural history. She was the associate editor for the Encyclopedia of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender History and Culture (2003) and is the author of Creating G.I. Jane: Sexuality and Power in the Women's Army Corps During World War II (1996). Her current work focuses on sexual knowledge in late twentieth century America.
